Ryan Tubridy has sold his Monkstown home, in which he once lived with girlfriend Aoibhinn Ní Shuilleabhaín, just before Christmas, according to a report in the Irish Mail on Sunday. And in getting €1.315m for the four-bedroom home, Ryan has made himself nearly €200k profit in just two years, having bought the house for €1.15m in 2013.
The home went on the market in September of last year, with Ryan having decided that it was too big for him, perhaps as a result of his relationship with Aoibhinn coming to an end. He didn’t have to wait long to sell it however, and managed to achieve a higher price than he had hoped for, with the asking price having been only €1.275m, nearly half a million euro less than it sold for.
The home is on three levels, with a kitchen, den and bedroom in the basement, two large reception rooms and an office on the first floor, and three bedrooms on the second floor. It is just a few minutes walk from the sea, and it seems as though Ryan’s celebrity credentials have helped push through a quick sale, with prospective buyers keen to move into a home associated with RTE’s biggest star.
Whoever has bought it has, however, still managed to secure a good deal for themselves, as the same house sold for €2.5m during the height of the property boom.
