Ryan Tubridy has said that he’s not planning on leaving the Late Late Show anytime soon.
The presenter hopes to stay on for at least six more years, beating Pat Kenny’s 10 year stint.
“This September will be Late Late Show year number nine. That means that someone who is 18 this year will have known me as Late Late host since they were nine. That’s interesting. I am their guy,” he told the Irish Sun.
He said that 15 years as host of the show sounded good, but added it could be more.
“Maybe beyond that. I’m really enjoying it now,” he said. “We have a new background team starting in August so we’re in reboot territory.”
And while he’s happy to surpass Kenny’s hosting record, he’s not planning on beating veteran host Gay Byrne, who spent 37 years as presenter on the show.
“I’m not going into the Chinese emperor style,” Tubs joked.
We’re happy he wants to stay on!
