Ryan Tubridy has paid tribute to his Late Late Show colleague Fiona Hurley following her recent death.
The RTE stage manager sadly passed away over the weekend, and will be greatly missed by all those she crossed paths with.
Sharing a picture of himself and Fiona on the set of the Late Late Toy Show, Ryan said, “We lost a very dear member of the Late Late family this weekend when Fiona Hurley passed away.
“She was a beacon of light and kindness in a world gone mad. We will miss her so much and are thinking of her family today. She loved the Toy Show and this photo captures who she was. RIP Fiona.”
The heartbreaking news comes just days after the Late Late Show aired a Daffodil Day special, which raised almost €3m for the Irish Cancer Society.
During the show, Shane Filan spoke about the loss of his parents to cancer while footballer Oisin Kiernan opened up about his battle with testicular cancer and the importance of getting lumps checked.
Also on the show, Jedward shaved off their signature quiffs, raising money for the worthy cause and honouring their late mum Susanna who passed away from cancer in 2019.
