There is only one more sleep until 2022’s Late Late Toy Show, host Ryan Tubridy got the festivities started early. Visiting a Toy Show super fan in Crumlin Children’s Hospital.
16-year-old Ella has been in Crumlin for the a year and a half while undergoing treatment for Gastroparesis. But a dedicated fan she never let it stop her from enjoying the Christmas special, watching last year’s Toy Show from the hospital.
While she will be able to leave the hospital on Monday, that means other year of watching the Toy Show from hospital, so Ryan decided to surprise the loyal fan ahead of Fridays show.

The 16-year-old believed she was being interviewed for a new documentary on the hospital, so got the surprise of life when Ryan joined her during the interview.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Toy Show celebration without some gifts, with Ryan giving Ella a table easle, allowing her to pursue her artistic endeavors, along with a record player, records, and clothes.
But the surprises didn’t stop there, as soon the musically inclined Ella was visited by her favourite group, Picture This.
The group performed their festive single, This Christmas, for Ella and the other kids on the ward.
What a way to kick off the Toy Show celebrations!
