Singer Imelda May and RTE presenter Ryan Tubridy were in London yesterday for a memorial service in honour of broadcasting legend Terry Wogan.
The BBC presenter passed away in January of this year at the age of 77, following a battle with cancer.
The Service Of Thanksgiving For The Life And Work Of Sir Terry was held yesterday morning at Westminster Abbey. Afterwards, Wild Woman singer Imelda took to social media to share a snap of herself and Late Late Show host Ryan, raising a glass to their “dear pal” Sir Terry.
On Facebook she wrote, “Mr Ryan Tubridy and I raise a glass to our dear pal Terry Wogan after a wonderful service in Westminster. That’s what Terry did so well… made every one of us feel like a best pal.”
A number of other famous Irish faces turned out yesterday to remember their friend and colleague, including Dermot O’Leary and Eamonn Holmes.
