Ryan Andrews has reached a huge milestone in his Mount Everest journey.
Sharing an update on his Instagram, Ryan said that he had reached Base Camp, feeling tired but running on adrenaline.
“We had very little sleep the night before as the feeling of reaching Base Camp was still keeping us awake”
Sharing a series of pictures from the last few days of his journey. Ryan is now on day 10 and says that the most memorable moment for him was watching the sunrise after reaching the pivotal point in his adventure.

“For me the best & most memorable moment of the entire trip – Watching the sunrise over Mount Everest 11.04.2022,” he said.
“We left extremely tired at 4.00am in pitch black, our head torches & the person’s feet in front were the only thing we could see for the 1st hour½, then the sun started to rise so we started to move quicker in order to be at the top for the sunrise!”
Continuing on, Ryan says that the hardship you endure on the way can’t be compared to the feeling you get when you see the views on offer.
“A tough hike, early morning, wind chill -10°, exhausted – but you always have to remember that feeling at the top is so much greater than that pain at the bottom.”
