RTÉ’s Dancing with the Stars has already announced many changes this year, with a new host, new pro dance, and of course, new celebs.
But turns out there are still more shake ups to come, as the show is reported to also be making some major changes to its format this year.
According to the Irish Sun, the show will be shortening its run, going from 12 weeks to 11.
As a source told the publication: “Dropping a full episode was the only way Dancing With The Stars 2023 was going to get made.
“Things are that tight, they had to lose a whole week.”
While RTÉ told the publication: ““We do not comment on editorial decisions.”
This year’s line-up includes Panti Bliss, Glee star Damian McGinty, influencer Suzanne Jackson, Irish soccer star Stephanie Roche, Eurovision singer Brooke Scullion, 2FM Breakfast host Carl Mullan, Derry Girls actress Leah O’Rourke, GAA star Paul Brogan, rugby legend Shane Byrne and former State pathologist Marie Cassidy.
