This year we have seen the return of so many of our favourite shows as, with the pandemic putting lots of filming on hold, we’re seeing a huge influx of great TV that will have has curled up in front of the couch for months to come. One show we’ve been looking forward to having back on our screens is RTÉ’s hit show, Cheap Irish Homes.
But, not only is the show returning for it’s third season, they are also looking for people to take part!
What began with Maggie Molloy’s hugely popular Instagram account, @cheapirishhouses which highlights doer-uppers around the country, now sees Maggie and Building Engineer, Kieran McCarthy hit in the road in search of property bargains that need a little TLC.
They will also offer their encouragement and advice on how to undertake a project like this which can reveal all kinds of properties like cute cottages, a parochial house or a country-pub dream.
This latest instalment of the show will run over eight episodes, and if you’re interested in taking part Maggie advises that you’ll need to be prepared to take on a home that needs some work! “Often Cheap Irish Homes will need a bit of love, so enthusiasm for a spot of DIY and some elbow grease will go a long way. If you’re handy with a cement mixer, you’ve come to the right place!”
To take part you need to be open to relocate and actively looking to move and be available for filming for a few days between April and September 2022.
