RTE star Mary Kennedy has been confirmed for next season of Dancing With The Stars Ireland!
The former Nationwide host was announced as one of the final two celebs set to take part in the series on Today With Maura and Daithi.
The star will be taking to this dance floor when the show returns on the fifth of January, and says she’s ready for a new challenge!
“I’m really looking forward to it, I’m quite petrified but I’m looking forward to learning new dances and doing something different.
“I’ve always been a fan and I’ve come out to watch the live show every year it’s been on so now it’s time to pony up and put my money where my mouth is…”
As well as the legendary presenter, Kilkenny hurler Aidan Fogarty rounds out the exciting line up of celebs donning their dancing shoes in the New Year!
The eight time All Ireland winner is sure to be a fan favourite when he ditches the football boots, and says he’s feeling a mixture of excitement and nerves.
“I feel really excited and really nervous. I’ve played in All-Ireland finals and I was coming up here today thinking I’d have taken an All-Ireland Final any day over this, but really excited and really nervous is probably the best way to describe how I’m feeling.”
The two stars join the lineup thats already jam packed with big names such as Glenda Gilson, Lottie Ryan, Brian Dowling and Yewande Biala!
The show will debut on RTE One on Sunday January 5th at 6:30pm, with hosts Jennifer Zamparelli and Nicky Byrne!
