Exciting news for fans of RTÉ’s Dancing with the Stars as the hit show has been confirmed to return to our screens in January 2022!
Nicky Byrne and Jennifer Zamparelli will be back as our weekly hosts and the show is set to run every Sunday, for 12 weeks early next year providing some much needed sparkle and glamour to our weekends post-Christmas.
Revealing the news today the broadcaster; “RTÉ are delighted to announce that Dancing with the Stars is back and will once again be entertaining viewers across the country on Sunday evenings. There’s a truly stellar line-up in store for this series, and I think everyone will welcome the return of the glamour and entertainment that ShinAwiL and Dancing with the Stars have always delivered for audiences.”
The show will be following it’s usual format of 12 celebrities teamed up with 12 pro-dancers as they battle it out week on week until a winner is crowed and take home the glitterball trophy. Of course, each week will see the judges marking their performances and the panel has seen a shake up for the new series.
Loraine Barry and Brian Redmond will be returning as judges and joining them year is Arthur Gourounlian, a dancer and acclaimed choreographer. He has performed or toured with everyone from Bananarama, Beyonce, Pink, Pussycat Dolls, Girls Aloud, Will Young, and Duffy to Kylie Minogue, Cheryl Cole, and Leona Lewis.
Last year the show had to be cut short, and there was no season of DWTS for 2021 due to Covid, so producers have assured fans that with strict guidelines in place they are confident it can go ahead in 2022.

Now all we need to know is which celebrities are set to appear on the show, and all will be revealed just before Christmas… Roll on January 2022!
