RTE have cancelled Fair City next weekend to make way for 2020 General Election coverage.
The popular Irish soap won’t be running next Sunday, February 9th, but is set to air a special one-hour episode the following week instead.
The Fair City double episode will air on Tuesday, February 11th from 8 to 9pm.
The General Election coverage on Sunday is set to reveal the results of the polls, following a historic election scheduled for Saturday, February 8th.
This will be the first time an Irish general election has been calendared on a Saturday since 1918.
