Exciting news for fans of RTE’s hit drama, Smother as it is returning for a second season!
The show which first aired earlier this year, kept us well entertained at home during lockdown and as the winter months are approaching again, we’re glad to have some great TV to look forward to.
Season two will see the Ahern family’s world rocked all over again as when they begin to pick up the pieces after Denis’ death a stranger appears at their home. The stranger, Finn, reveals himself to be Denis’ estranged son making him an unwelcome surprise for the Ahern family.
After being abandoned as a child to grow up in foster homes in Britain, Finn has arrived as he wants to connect with his estranged family. As we know from season one Val will do anything to protect her close knit family unit, so as Finn begins to get close to her daughters it causes conflict.
Of course there are plenty more dark family secrets left to be exposed and as we’ve come to expect from Val, she’ll stop at nothing to keep them buried.
Smother Season 2 will be coming back to our screens this autumn!
