Put the date in your diary, because the tv adaptation of Sally Rooney’s Normal People is set to air on RTE, April 28th.
The first two episodes of the highly-anticipated 12 part drama will kick off with a double bill on RTÉ One and will also be available on the RTÉ Player.
Normal People follows the lives of Marianne (Daisy Edgar Jones) and Connell (Paul Mescal), both from Sligo, and their complicated relationship.
It begins with them in their final year of school as they study for their Leaving Cert, right through to their time at Trinity College.
Irish actress Sarah Greene will play the role of Connell’s mum Lorraine, and previously revealed fans of the book will adore the show.

“It’s really true to them [the books],” she said. “Sally is heavily involved in the writing of the show, she has written the first few episodes.”
If you don’t want to wait and watch it on RTE, BBC will also be airing the show a few days earlier.
It will be released on BBC’S iPlayer on April 26th – and all episodes will be available to stream instantly.
