Roz Purcell has landed an exciting new role, as she fills in for Doireann Garrihy on 2FM Breakfast this week.
The foodie and author will be presening alongside Eoghan McDermott, as Doireann takes a few days off.
Sharing her delight, Roz revealed she’s been busy creating an at-home-studio, and can’t wait to get on air.
Taking to social media, she said, “I’m so nervous and excited. I have a little mini-studio set up.”
She continued, “It’s going to be really good craic. We’re going to keep it all good news, keep the energy up. I guarantee you it’ll put a smile on your face.
“And Doireann watch out, I’m coming for your job! No, I’m not, but I will try and impersonate you.”
Roz recently opened up about the pressures to stay proactive during lockdown, revealing that shouldn’t be the case at all.
Speaking on the Six O’Clock Show, she said, “Now all of the content we’re being fed is people being really pro-active at home and it can make you kind of feel bad and make you feel like you haven’t really done much with your day or your week and I guess we have to all remember as well that we’re going to have off days.”
Most importantly Roz reminded viewers that; “We’re in the middle of a pandemic and I think why add, on top of all this, guilt to yourself for not learning how to play the cello or something you know.”
