Roz Purcell recently fractured a bone in her leg when she had been playing tennis when she took a step backwards and knew something had happened when the pain made her want to “projectile vomit”.
Since then, Roz has been sharing updates on her injury. Taking to Instagram to share her most recent update, Roz said, “This day five weeks ago, I broke my leg. I broke my shoelace, I wasn’t even doing anything exciting, and today I got the news, my boot is off!
“My big smelly boot is finally off. My bone, even though it’s still very much broken, it’s healing, it’s healing right on time. So I’m able to go back cycling, swimming, can kind of walk on flat ground and the extent of my lower body workout is a few calf raises. But listen, I’ll take it. A few more weeks and there’ll be no stopping me.”
She then finished up by saying “Tie your laces, this summer was not fun.”
This comes after Roz recently revealed it hasn’t been plain sailing while recovering from her injury. An Instagram follower asked Roz how she stays so positive, to which she replied:
“Tbh I had a melt down yesterday I felt a bit lost with what I was doing and down about my leg.”
Continuing she said; “Having a broken leg and restrictions lifting, seeing everyone being outside has been a real challenge to not get down about the situation especially after a year being inside.
“It’s also made me really work on not letting negative thoughts talk over about my body while not being active.”
