Roz Purcell’s career in the food industry has been soaring over the past few months, but the Natural Born Feeder author has just taken it one step further by landing a show on RTE.
The Tipperary native will be a mentor on The Taste of Success, a competition which will see food entrepreneurs from all over Ireland compete to win a prize worth €100,000 and have their product sold in Lidl stores nationwide.
Speaking to Ryan Tubridy on the Late Late Show, Roz said, “I am looking for applicants at the moment. It is my first year, so obviously I want to be in with a chance to win.
“I appreciate originality and it’s important to find someone who is truly passionate about their dish, and of course, wiling to take advice.
“I won’t be just focusing on finding someone that’s my style of cooking. I am just on the search for that ultimate dish.
“It’s never easy when someone is critiquing your favourite dish, so I think I would try work alongside them as a peer, rather than a mentor.”
Roz has plenty of experience in the food industry so will certainly know what she’s taking about.
Filming begins this summer, so if you fancy getting involved, applications can be made at rte.ie/thetasteofsuccess.
