Roy Keane has shown his support for the Irish women’s team, following their public dispute with the FAI.
The girls in green held a press conference last week to voice their issues on how they have been treated during and after games.
Headed up by captain and goalkeeper Emma Byrne, the ladies team revealed they were forced to ‘change in public toilets’ after games and described the situation as ‘humiliating’.
The issues have since been resolved after talks between John Delaney and the FAI with the women’s team.

Following their 1-0 win over Slovakia last night, Emma tweeted about the phone call she received from Roy.
“After a really tough week it was a sweet ending with a lovely phone call from Roy Keane himself! Legend,” she said.
Good to see Roy showing his support for our ladies side!
