Rosie Connolly has raised a staggering amount of money for Temple Street and Crumlin Children’s Hospital, with the help of her followers.
The influencer, who’s mum to four-year-old Harry and baby Remi, was inspired to give back, after visiting one of the hospitals last week.
Starting a go-fund-me account, Rosie asked followers to donate anything they could – and that, they most certainly did. Within a few hours, over €100k was raised – way surpassing Rosie’s goal of €5k.
Taking to social media, she said, “I swore I wasn’t going to come on and cry but I’ve spent the last hour bawling. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated.

“I had this idea a few weeks ago after a visit to the hospital, I came out and bawled to my husband – I said I have to do something, I have to help in some way.
“The hospitals are absolutely incredible and I want any parent who is in there with their kids to know we’re thinking of them and people do care. If I can do anything to help, I will.”
She continued, “I just can’t wait to go up to these two amazing children’s hospitals and give them the money you guys have raised.
“I cannot believe that I haven’t even left the house and by putting something online, we raised this much money. It makes me think why didn’t I do this way earlier? I know the hospitals will be so thrilled.”

While she admits social media can be “a very nasty, negative, mean place at times”, Rosie can’t get over the generosity of people, and how everyone came together for such an important cause.
“Kindness is everything and for you all to join me in raising money for the innocent ones in all of this, our children… I’m so proud of social media tonight.
“I thought there was no way we’d get to 10k. It’s an incredible thing to raise money for.
“Children should never suffer, ever. and if they do, they need the best care possible, which our incredible nurses and doctors are doing. Thank you from the very bottom of my heart to everyone who has donated.”
