Rosanna Davison shares what she’s learned as Sophia turns eight months old

For any new mother, having a newborn is a total learning curve, and for Rosanna Davison it’s been no different. As her gorgeous baby girl, Sophia turns eight months old Rosanna has shared what she had learned so far.

In particular she said; “While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about.”

For Rosanna and her husband, Wes she revealed that; “I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how she’s changed our lives in the best possible way and brought us more happiness and meaning than we ever imagined, but also how much we’ve learnt from her.”

Although like all Mum’s it’s not always easy; “Some days I feel like super-mum, and others (like yesterday), I just feel like I can’t get anything right and nothing I do makes her happy!”

“While she loves her routine, it doesn’t always go to plan. So she’s taught me the importance of letting go, living in the moment, the power of simplicity and trying not to control everything in life… just relax and go with the flow.”

The nutritionist, who welcomed baby Sophia last November via surrogacy, has been very open about her fertility struggles in the past.

Rosanna and Wes first began trying for a baby in 2015, but sadly she endured multiple miscarriages – 14 to be exact.

“People just assume I have this perfect life,” she told VIP Magazine.

“I’ve so much compassion and empathy for people going through fertility issues because it does take its toll, physically and emotionally.”

Extremely grateful for everything that has come her way, Rosanna continued, “I’ll never be able to thank our surrogate enough. Never ever.

“Sophia’s ours now, and we’re a family. But we’ll never forget what it took to have her.

“Every single day I look at her and go, wow. I cannot believe that someone else gave birth to her, but that she is ours. We are just so lucky that it worked, and first time around.”

The most important message of all she shared with her followers was; “To all the parents out there doing your best, keep believing in yourselves… you’re doing an amazing job.”
