Rosanna Davison reveals why March can be a “significant and sad” month for people trying to conceive

Rosanna Davison has opened up about the significance and sometimes sadness surrounding the month of March for people who are trying to conceive a child.

The model, who is now a mum of three beautiful children, suffered 14 heartbreaking miscarriages before their arrival.

Rosanna and her husband Wes welcomed Sophia to the world via surrogacy in November 2019  before giving birth to twins Hugo and Oscar just one year later.

For years the couple dreamed of having a baby and starting a family of their own – and Rosanna admits March is always the toughest month for people going through fertility struggles.

Taking to social media, Rosanna said, “To the couples who have been trying month after month, year after year. To those of you wishing and waiting for your turn to hold your own baby. To the women who were hoping to have a baby this year… I see you, I was you.”

She continued, “It crossed my mind earlier that March was always a significant (and sad) month for me during the years of our fertility struggles, and part of me dreaded it rolling around.

“It’s the last month of the year to conceive and have a full-term baby within the same calendar year.”

While it was a difficult period of time for them, March is now tinted with joy for the couple as it’s when all of their children were conceived – and Rosanna hopes that will also be the case for other people in a similar situation to them.

“As we know, the world works in weird and wonderful ways,” she said.

“It was in March 2019 that we found out that our gestational surrogate was pregnant with Sophia, and in March 2020 we naturally conceived Hugo and Oscar. I really hope that March is your month too…”
