Rosanna Davison opens up about mother’s cancer diagnosis

Rosanna Davison has candidly opened up about her mum’s cancer diagnosis, admitting it was a “big shock” for their family.

Rosanna’s mum, Diane de Burgh, was diagnosed with blood cancer back in 2022 after a routine blood test.

Speaking to The Irish Sun, Rosanna explained how she never saw it coming.

“It was a big shock and a big cry. She’s the healthiest person in the world, really health-conscious,” she added.

“It just goes to show it can happen no matter how healthy your lifestyle is.

“It takes no prisoners. It can happen to anyone.”

After a year of treatment, Diane thankfully got the good news that she was in “complete remission”.

Touching on how is mum is holding up now, Rosanna noted how she couldn’t be doing better!

“She’s absolutely living her best life. Which is amazing to see. She had a rough couple of years.”

The former Miss World then emphasised how important routine check-ups are in order to keep on top of your health.

“I’m due to go in the next couple of weeks for an annual blood check. It’s just to keep you on top of your health checks.

“Whether it’s smears or mammograms or blood tests, that kind of thing. Just to keep you on top of your health.”
