Rosanna Davison says she’s ‘grateful to be still feeling strong’ as she shares pregnancy exercise routine

Rosanna Davidson has shared her pregnancy workout routine, saying that she feels ‘grateful to be still feeling strong’ this far into her pregnancy.

Rosanna is preparing to give birth to her twin boys next month, and since falling pregnant has been exercising regularly (with modifications) in a bid to aid both her labour and postpartum recovery.

Explaining what kind of workout she does and why she does it, Rosanna told her 230k followers yesterday:

“I’m grateful to be still feeling strong at this stage of my #twinpregnancy, and since my doctor has continued to encourage me to exercise.”

Sharing that she trains with a personal trainer three times a week she continued: “As I’ve got further into the pregnancy, we’ve been focusing most prenatal sessions on a combination of lower body and upper body super sets. This training split does not completely exhaust one muscle group, leaving plenty of energy for the rest of the day!”

Giving advice for other mums to be who want to continue exercising throughout their pregnancy, if their Doctor approves of it, Rosanna said that listening to your body is the key.

“The most important thing when exercising through pregnancy is to listen to your body, so the intensity of each session has been based on my energy levels.”

“Pregnancy workouts should leave you feeling energised and strong, and ultimately support both delivery and postpartum recovery.”

As Rosanna is set to give birth to her baby boys next month, she has been preparing for their arrival in every way possible, not just through exercise. Last week she shared that she is packing her baby bag to bring to the hospital when the time comes for them to be delivered.
