Say it ain’t so!
Yes, Rory Cowan has announced his retirement from the world of entertainment after his exit from Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) on Sunday night.
The former Mrs Brown’s Boys star was the first celebrity to be eliminated from the RTÉ programme after sadly receiving the least amount of votes from the public.
He then revealed that he would be hanging up his acting boots after completing his contract with RTÉ soap Fair City.
“I have a contract for Fair City for this year, so I’m doing that.
“Anything else I’m asked do, and I have been asked to do a few things, I’m finished. That’s it. There’s nothing else,” he added.
Touching on what he might do next, Rory said: “I’m just going to enjoy myself now, I’m going to do a lot of travelling.
“I say travelling but I’ve two cats, Pebbles and Bam Bam.
“I’ve been working very hard since I was 17, that’s 44 years at this stage and I’m looking forward to retirement.”
Following in the footsteps of Eilish O’Carroll, Rory was yet another star from the sitcom who became the first celebrity eliminated from their respective seasons of DWTS.
Despite it all, the actor admitted that the public made the right decision and that he was grateful for the opportunity to learn the art of dance.
