Design-master Dermot Bannon has shared some exciting news, confirming that Room To Improve will be back on our screens very shortly.
It’s been a long wait for fans of the show, as it was forced to come to a halt last year amid the pandemic.
Revealing that it will be back this Autumn, Dermot told RSVP Magazine: “Yes, it is in full swing and we will be back this autumn”
“All of our jobs are on site at the moment and it is all going really well. We have had good projects coming up because we had all of last year to go out and find the right ones.
Going on to say that viewers are in for a real treat with the new season Dermot hinted at there being plenty to be excited for.
“We had time to get planning permission on all of them so it’s a great series.”
Explaining how filming has felt very strange during the pandemic, Dermot has ensured that full social distancing guidelines have been adhered to, as difficult as it was.
“I was making TV shows and doing a lot of normal things so I had a letter to get out of my county and stay in hotels”
“I had to get a PCR test every two days, and I had more things shoved up my nose than Nidge from Love/Hate!”
“Wearing masks and filming socially distanced were really difficult because they went against the nature and spirit of what we do”
