Following his elimination from Dancing with the Stars over the weekend, Rob Heffernan has revealed who he wants to win the competition.
Rob went head-to-head with Erin McGregor on the night, and judges chose to save her after their dance-off.
The Irish race-walker grew extremely close to Jake Carter over their time on show, and hopes he goes home with the gong.
“I hope he goes on to win it. He’s brilliant – he’s a great, great fella and I’m going to miss him,” he told VIP Magazine.
“I’ll miss Jake. I’ve had such a laugh with him, he’s brilliant. I’ve had such a good time with him.
He went on to say, “He works so hard. He’d be out in Ballyfermot until 9pm and then we’d both come home, and it’s someone to chat to.
“He’s so driven and so ambitious. He has a great personality and he’s good fun. He’s got a great balance.”
While Rob is sad to be out of the competition, he can’t wait to get back to normality and spent time with his nearest and dearest.
“I’m looking forward to getting home to Cork, to my family. There’s always a silver lining. I can’t wait to get back to my partner and kids,” he said.
