I was recently invited to the Peter Mark Academy by the lovely people of Kérastase to sample a new range of at-home hair products – Résistance Thérapiste. The four-product range is targeted at those with very damaged, over-processed, and over-styled hair.
Now, I rarely style my hair (it’s a quick blast of the blow-dryer for me, and up in a pony or top knot it goes – every single day…), but I have dappled in balayage in my time, so, although the roots and mid-lengths are in good enough condition, the ends are quite dry, and susceptible to brittleness and split ends. So this entire collection would not be something I’d usually opt for, but I was told that my ends would get great benefits from the Soin Premier Therapiste conditioner, which is for fine-haired folk like myself, who have moderate to intense damage.
The conditioner was applied to my lengths pre-shampoo to act as a protective barrier and reduce friction during shampooing. As you can see from the before and after pictures, my ends were greatly softened and revitalised. I was really impressed, and although I didn’t sample the entire range, a few of the girls in the office who complain about super brittle and damaged locks from years of damaging treatments did, and it’s a massive thumbs up from them.
The new collection features the Soin Premier Therapiste conditioner, €23.50, as well as:
Bain Therapiste, €19.50 – a shampoo with a potent formula of smoothing ingredients suitable for both fine and thick hair types.
Masque Therapiste, €36.56 – a luxuriously rich cream for thicker hair types for intense nourishment, smoothing and softening.
Serum Therapiste, €23.50 – a treatment for both fine and thick hair types to help reduce the appearance of split ends and protect against heat of up to 230º.
Kérastase’s Résistance Therapiste Collection will be availablee from selected premium professional salons nationwide, from July 2015. For more info, check out kerastase.co.uk
