The nominations for the 2016 Emmy Awards have been released and among the nominees are a couple of Irish faces.
The awards will take place on the 18th September this year and there’ll be two talented Irish stars shopping for new a new gown and dusting off their tux for the event.
Yvonne Connolly’s partner, John Conroy was nominated for ‘Oustanding Cinematography for a Limited Series or Television Movie,’ for his work on Luther.
John took to Twitter to share his excitement over his incredible achievement, saying, “Can’t believe this! Privileged to be nominated with @idriselba for @bbcluther @BBCAMERICA thanks to my amazing crew & colourist @colourkitty.”
Another Irish success story from the nominations is Sharon Horgan.
The talented lady is nominated in the Writing Comedy category for ‘Catastrophe’
Although we’ve only got two Irish nominees we’ve no doubt these stellar candidates will do a fantastic job of representing our emerald isle!
