After much hype and speculation, details to do with RTE’s Dancing With The Stars have finally been confirmed. Eleven celebs will take to the dance floor in January, in a bid to be crowned the winner.
We’ll be tuning in to the National Broadcaster to see models, presenters and sports stars on the new Sunday night show. Rehearsals have already begun and the stars are gearing up to be put through their paces.
Model Thalia Heffernan, weather reporter Theresa Mannion, and Big Brother star Hughie Maughan will waltz their way onto the ballroom dance floor. Others linked to the dancing competition are GAA player Aidan O’Mahony and comedian Des Bishop.
A source close to the show told The Herald that the final preparations are being done at the moment and that the process will be gruelling for the celebrities.
“It doesn’t start until January 8 but they have to start learning the routines now, in addition to the publicity they’ll have to be doing as part of their contracts.
“The show will run from January until March, so it’s essentially three months long if you stay in it until the end. It was tricky to get the line-up right as they needed people who were well-known but had a significant gap in their schedule,” the source said.
Just another few weeks to wait until all will be revealed!
