Ray D’Arcy has opened up about seeking counselling over his constant worrying.
The radio and TV star revealed that he is a natural born worrier and admitted that in the past he has had to seek professional help to manage it.
Talking on the subject he said:
“I’ve always been a worrier. I do the maths about once a week. Tom is just seven so in 12 years time I will be officially retiring age and Tom (his son) will only be going to university. That’s a real thing and I have to do something about it in financial terms.”
When questioned about visiting a therapist, Ray revealed: “I went to one years ago but I don’t go anymore.
“There was a time in my life when I needed someone to talk to and that time has passed.”
Ray now says that over time he has learned how to deal with his stress.
Appreciating the effect having a loving family can have on your mental health, Ray is focused on his two children and their future.
“I take it step by step. If I lose my job I may not be able to pay the mortgage but we can sell the house and move down the country and get a cheaper house and get a job somewhere else and the kids can move school and so on” Ray said.
