The Platinum VIP Style Awards took place this weekend at The Marker Hotel Dublin, and after a two-year absence, the best in Irish showbiz brought the glitz and glam, as celebs came from near and far to walk the red carpet.
The awards, now in their 19th year, saw Ireland’s most fashionable celebrities pull out all the stops with many of our nominees checking into the beauty suite earlier in the day. Stylists from Platinum were on hand for hair, Lancome was our official beauty parnter and Bellamianta plus Kerry Hanaphy also helped bring the glam!
Guests on the evening enjoyed a suitably stylish champagne reception courtesy of Moët, tasty tipples from Malfy Gin, and then delicious wine while dinner was served and the winners were announced. Afterward, everyone headed to House Dublin for the official afterparty.
Here’s who went home with each award on the night:
MOST STYLISH WOMAN sponsored by Platinum
Pippa O’Connor went home with the coveted award, beating the likes of Suzanne Jackson, Una Healy, Roz Purcell, Vogue Williams, Amy Huberman, Erica Cody, Kathryn Thomas, Aoibhín Garrihy, Maura Higgins, Celia Holman Lee and Georgie Crawford.
Speaking of the win, she said, ” I’m so grateful I still have so much support from people that follow me, such a lovely compliment to have won.”
MOST STYLISH MAN
Nicky Byrne went home with the gong for Most Stylish Man. He was up against Paddy Smyth, Dáithí Ó Sé, Greg O’Shea, James Kavanagh and Matthew MacNabb.
MOST STYLISH NEWCOMER sponsored by NEXT
This award went to Zara King, who was up against Ellen Keane, Laura Fox, Kate Grant, Muireann O’Connell, Pamela Uba, Missy Keating and Jess Redden.
She said, “It’s not often I’m lost for words, but I was honestly speechless when I was announced as the winner of best newcomer at tonight’s Platinum VIP Style Awards. This is just not something I ever would’ve expected!”

Lisa McGowan took home this award, after beating the likes of Louise O’Reilly, Lisa Jordan, Jodie Wood, Terrie McEvoy and Rosie Connolly.
“Thank you so so much for everyone who voted for me…I’m absolutely thrilled, only for my followers, it was worth asking ye for sure, the most loyal and wonderful supporters that anyone could ever ask for, without you guys none of this would be possible,” she gushed.
FAVOURITE IRISH DESIGNER
Sinead Keary took home the gong for Favourite Irish Designer. She was up against Helen Steele, Aoifa MacNamara, Joanne Hynes, Fee G and Colin Horgan.
SUSTAINABLE STYLE AWARD sponsored by Dr Hauschka
Niamh O’Sullivan went home with the Sustainable Style Award. She was up against Fionnuala Jones, Louise McSharry, Tara Kumar, Thalia Heffernan and Caroline Foran.

Rosanna Davison was awarded Look of the Year after competing against Bláthnaid Treacy, Holly Carpenter, Nicola Coughlan, Lyra, Jennifer Zamparelli, Soulé and Sinead Kennedy
She said, “I was genuinely lost for words and that doesn’t happen very often. I’d been so focused on just getting out of the house last night without Play-Doh in my hair that I didn’t think about the awards part. It was such a lovely surprise/shock!”
BEST DRESSED ON THE NIGHT sponsored by The Zip Yard
While everyone certainly put their most fashionable foot forward tonight, it was Mary Kennedy who was won the title of Best Dressed on the Night, chosen by guests in attendance.
She enthused, “What a huge and wonderful surprise to be voted Best Dressed on the Night at Platinum VIP Style Awards. Was not expecting that!!! I’m absolutely thrilled. Thank you to the guests on the night for voting for me. A really lovely evening meeting up again after so long.”
