Pippa O’Connor is not worried about the potential backlash she may face for not catering for women over a size 16 in her new denim range, Poco.
The fashion and beauty blogger announced that she would be launching her own signature range of denim jeans last month, and it’ll be made up of five capsule jeans which will be available in sizes 6-16.
Ahead of the collection’s launch on November 14th, the mum-of-two has said she’s not worried about criticism she may face over not catering for plus-size women.
“No, I’m not worried. You have to start somewhere and that’s where I am starting,” she told the Herald. “I haven’t even thought that far ahead yet, I need to get it off the ground first. We are launching it on November 14 exclusively online. I can’t wait.”
Despite receiving an incredible reaction from fans since announcing her latest business venture, Pippa admits that she’s nervous about launching the project independent of any other company.
“I’m nervous about it because it’s Brian and mine’s own venture, we’re not in collaboration with anyone else. There’s a variation. We have five styles, different colours, different washes. We’ll start with five and see how we go,” she said.
“That’s what the emphasis is on, the fit. They are not at all out there, there’s no big embellishment. They’re very pared back, that’s what I wanted.
“Jeans are my everyday uniform – it’s what I wear all the time. It’s something I’m very passionate about. I have gotten lots of messages from girls who are really excited to get them.”
We predict her denim range is going to be a huge success!
