Pippa O’Connor has opened up about the behind the scenes of the gorgeous surprise her husband, Brian Ormond planned for their ten year wedding anniversary last week.
Thinking about it now she said; “Did that really happen?” We can understand why she feels this way, as it really was a fairytale surprise.
To mark their tenth anniversary the couple stayed in the stunning Adare Manor for the weekend, where Brian secretly arranged for them to renew their wedding vows.
Chatting about the experience on Instagram stories Pippa revealed that they had always planned to renew their vows on their tenth wedding anniversary but that due to Covid restrictions she had long ago put thoughts of it to the back of her mind.
On the day Brian first arranged for the couple to watch their wedding video together in the little cinema at the hotel. Pippa shared; “we went there just the two of us and he had our wedding video, and messages from some of our friends and family and like that was so emotional I cried all the way through.”
Then, as she was getting ready for dinner she said that the manager of the hotel sent them up an invitation to go for an anniversary drink that evening. When they arrived and were quickly ushered into a car, the mother-of-two said she still didn’t click what was happening; “I still really wasn’t even thinking about it.”
However, as they drove up towards the little chapel she shared that she could feel a shift in Brian’s mood; “I could sense then from Brian that he was getting nervous and excited.”
They then entered the chapel to music playing with candles and flowers everywhere; “I was so so overwhelmed, so emotional, I just got the biggest, nicest surprise.” Speaking about the vows she added; “It was just so special, I cried my way through it.”
Since the big day Pippa also shared that she was emotional for about three days afterwards and felt as if she had got married all over again! Congratulations to the happy couple on ten years of marriage!
