Dáithí Ó Sé is debuting a drastic new look today after he dyed his beard pink on the Today Show.
Yep, you read that right! While we were initially confused about the change too, the RTE presenter revealed it’s for a very good cause – he’s trying to raise money for the Marie Keating Foundation and promised to make his facial hair a lovely shade of fuchsia if people donated to the cause which can still be done by texting ‘BEARD’ to 50300 for €2.
Dáithí spent the afternoon perfecting his new pink beard, but it took a couple of times to get the shade he liked best.
“Getting there, but not pink enough,” he said on Twitter.
Dáithí and his co-host Maura tried to raise as much awareness for the cause as possible, so planned a Breast Cancer Survivor party to take place in RTE studios today.
During the show, Ronan Keating was on to chat about his mother and the work done by the Marie Keating Foundation, a number of cancer survivors spoke about their personal experiences and one woman received a complete make-over curtesy of Debenhams.
