Pierce Brosnan is making his return to tv with new AMC series, The Son.
Although the Meath native has had a very successful film career, starring in movies such as Mrs. Doubtfire, Mamma Mia, and of course his classic James Bond flicks, he hasn’t done any television work since the 1980’s.
Based on a book written by Philip Meyer, The Son is a multi-generational story of America’s birth as a superpower, and follows the trials and tribulations of one Texas family, the McCulloughs.
The 63-year-old will be playing the part of Eli McCullough, the patriarch of the family, replacing Sam Neill who was originally cast for this part.
Eli was kidnapped as a child and raised among the Comanche Native American tribe. This has a huge impact on how handles business and his family.
The show is set for a 2017 premiere, and we can’t wait to watch it!
