Irish singer Allie Sherlock yesterday appeared on This Morning in the UK, hosted by Eamonn Holmes OBE and his wife Ruth Langsford.
The 12-year-old recently sang on The Ellen show in the States, after being discovered while busking in Dublin City.
Allie, who’s voice has stunned countless people since she started singing, had previously spoken about her late mum, who passed away when she was younger.
But it was when Eamonn brought up her mother, that she seemed a bit taken aback.
“This is an amazing story, you literally found your voice when you lost your mum didn’t you?” Eamonn asked.
“How helpful has this been to articulate your feelings and your love for your mum.”
Allie seemed visibly shaken by the question, responding “It wasn’t like…I don’t really know…”
The Cork native’s father, who joined her on the couch, interjected at this stage, to say that some of the songs remnded her of her mother.
Viewers took to twitter to slam Eamonn for putting the young girl in that situation on tv.

Another viewer added “He’s a bit forward asking about her mum. Maybe she didn’t want to talk about it”
What do you think? Was Eamonns’s question a little too far?
