An Irish man had everyone talking after his appearance on Celebrity First Dates.
John Woods, a 68-year-old lawyer from Ireland, was set up with tv journalist Esther Rantzen and his wit and charm won over the viewers and the lovely Esther.
The 68-year-old was the perfect gentleman throughout the date and viewers just couldn’t get enough of him.
Some viewers even took to Twitter to rave about John.
One viewer tweeted, “I’m in pieces watching lovely Esther Rantzen and lovely John on #firstdates Actual pieces.”
Another said, “Living & dining alone “all the joy is in the cooking and none of the joy is in the eating” Loving Irish John on #FirstDates.”
However, John’s stellar status was tainted after receiving a frosty reception from Esther when he started a sentence saying, “I think for a lady of your advancing years..”
Luckily, the loveable bachelor redeemed himself the next day by sending Esther a beautiful bouquet of flowers along with an invitation to Ireland.
