Paul Mescal, the runaway success of hit show Normal People has raised over €50k for charity so far.
The star raffled of his chain from the show in a bid to raise vital funds for Pieta House.
The chain itself has become almost as popular as the hit series, gaining an Instagram following of over 163k.
Knowing this, Paul wanted to give it away to one lucky fan – while doing some good for charity.
“I am delighted to be able to help Pieta by raffling off one of my own chains. Pieta is a cause very close to my heart, having experienced loss due to suicide in my local town while growing up,” he said.
“Episode 10 of Normal People also touches upon depression and suicidal ideation, so it seemed like a very special partnership to want to help those in similar situations. I want to play my part in helping sustain these free services across Ireland.”
Pieta House provides free therapy to those engaging in self-harm, with suicidal ideation, or bereaved by suicide and following the cancellation of their biggest fundraiser, Darkness Into Light this year, any donations will be hugely beneficial.
