Paul Mescal fans rejoice as his now iconic GAA shorts have returned for summer 2022. Over the weekend the Irish actor was spotted at Coachella alongside his Normal People co-star Daisy Edgar Jones.
A fan posted a photo of herself with the actors which quickly got shared across social media as people were delighted to see Paul ditching the Prada for the night and returning to his true roots, the humble pair of GAA shorts.
After the success of the show Normal People in 2020, the Maynooth native shot to fame and here in Ireland we loved seeing snaps of him out and about in the UK wearing his GAA shorts. Of course with him being one of the hottest up and coming stars at the time they quickly became a fashion moment with O’Neills selling out of shorts and even Gucci making their own version that summer.
Paul was at the festival to support his girlfriend, singer Phoebe Bridgers over the weekend, and he even went up on stage and sang with her at the end of her set!
Paul and Phoebe were first spotted here in Ireland in a cafe in Kinsale in 2020. However, earlier in 2021 the pair set many a tongue-wagging as they posted a loved-up snap to Instagram, confirming that they are indeed a couple.
Phoebe also spent Christmas with Paul’s family in Ireland in 2021, so these two are definitely serious!
