It’s been announced that hit RTE show, Operation Transformation is getting a spin-off! This time applications aren’t open to the general public, but instead celebrities will take on the weight loss challenge.
Vision Independent Media revealed to Evoke.ie, that the show will feature 6 familiar faces, and potential contestants are being assured that there will be no “humiliation” or “fat-shaming.”
A source close to the show told the Mail that celebs won’t be forced to do weekly weigh-ins or to strip off in front of the camera, but they should be open to committing themselves fully.
“This is about promoting a healthier lifestyle and getting celebrities on who maybe want to lose a few pounds or change their eating habits is what we are after.
“This is not I’m A Celebrity… it is about creating positive messages with some wellknown faces. The celebs will not have to strip off completely for the weigh-in; that is totally their choice. But we hope that they will get into the spirit of the show,” the source said.
As per the usual layout, contestants will be supported by the expert panel of fitness, nutrition and psychology guru’s, and Kathryn Thomas will be back in her role as host.
An RTE spokesperson confirmed that the show will be hitting our screens in autumn. We can’t wait to see the new format!
