Lottie Ryan has opened up about how she first met her husband, Fabio Aprile.
The 2FM presenter and Dancing with the Stars contestant revealed the pair were introduced almost two decades ago – way before the era of online dating.
Lottie told our sister mag STELLAR that they first set eyes on each other, when she was 18, during a night out with pals.
“We met on a night out in town, in Zanzibar, back in the day,” she beamed.
“No Tinder or anything for me, sure I took him to the debs. It’s nice to be able to call him my husband now.”
The pair, who have been together for 16 years, wed during a romantic Italian ceremony in May 2017.
The happy couple were joined by a number of close friends and family as they said ‘I do’ at a beautiful venue in Casalattico.
For the bid day, Lottie wore a stunning white gown with an embellished bodice, and a beautiful white headpiece, while Fabio opted for a simple black suit.
Speaking on Breakfast Republic, she previously revealed that the wedding was “full of wonderful little Italian traditions.”
“It was very Italian – that was the reason I wanted to go to Italy. I wanted my side of the family to experience the Italian culture,” she shared.
