Nicola Coughlan is one busy woman.
Thankfully, she’s just wrapped filming on her latest project, I Am Helen.
Earlier this year, it was announced that Nicola would be leading the next two-part story in Dominic Savage’s acclaimed I Am anthology, starring alongside Peaky Blinders and Gangs of London actor Joe Cole.
The BAFTA-winning series, which first premiered in 2019, is celebrated for its powerful standalone episodes that explore women’s lives through character-driven, improvised storytelling, each one co-created by Savage and the lead actor.

Past instalments have featured the talents of Kate Winslet, Letitia Wright, Lesley Manville, and Samantha Morton.
Now, with production officially wrapped, Nicola is set to join that impressive roster with her own highly anticipated story.
Sharing the news on Instagram, Nicola wrote: “That’s a wrap on I Am Helen. It’s been an experience that has been in equal parts deeply terrifying and deeply liberating.
“I’m immeasurably grateful to the brilliant [Dominic Savage] for trusting me to tell this story,” she added.
“I’ve been so lucky to act alongside the incredibly talented [Joe Cole] and the rest of the stellar cast put together by @shaheenbaigcasting. [Me and You Productions], who have been so supportive and made this project happen.

“Last but not least I’m so grateful to the small but mighty crew who made this show, what an honour to share this experience alongside you.
“I Am Helen will be coming so @channel4 at some point and I can’t wait to share it with you all,” she concluded.
Gwan girl!
