All anyone seems to be watching right now is Netflix’s new show, Bridgerton. The period drama, set in Regency England follows the lives of wealthy young women during the coming out season as they seek a husband.
The show has eight episodes, all of which dropped on Netflix on the 25th of December, making it ideal viewing for the limbo period in between Christmas and New Year.
Ireland’s own, Nicola Coughlan, plays Penelope Featherington in the show and has quickly become one of the most popular characters. So far, the Derry Girls star has been getting rave reviews online for her part in the show, including her A-list friend Jonathan Van Ness!

Nicola has been sharing lots of behind the scenes snaps from the making of the show and has also revealed how much she loved being part of it.
On Christmas Eve she shared; “Can’t believe it’s finally happening tomorrow.”
“Wishing you all the Merriest Christmas and I hope #Bridgerton brings you as much joy to watch as it brought us to make.”
We already can’t wait for season two!
