Nicky Byrne updates fans after major fall on stage during Westlife gig

Nicky Byrne has updated his fans after suffering a major fall during Westlife’s latest gig.

After finishing their performance in Glasgow, the lads headed to the back of stage, but while walking Nicky fell into a performers’ entrance on the stage floor.

It was a big tumble and his bandmates were seen rushing to help him. Fans were immediately concerned and took to social media to wish him well, and enquire about his condition.

One wrote: “Nicky I hope you didn’t hurt yourself when you fell through that door. What a night absolutely loved seeing my childhood band again.”

While another said: “Are you ok after your fall Nicky?”

And now the Sligo native has spoken out about his current condition, reassuring fans he is okay.

Writing: “Hey All, Thank you for your well wishes! So last night I did have a little accident on stage in Glasgow, where I didn’t realise the mechanical stairs had opened behind me.”

“A crazy moment which could have been a lot worse but I’m completely fine, a little bit battered and bruised but ok ! I’ll see y’all back up there tonight.”

“The show must go on. Thanks for all your well wishes.”

Ending his update, Nicky poked fun at the situation, writing: “#ReallyFlyingWithoutWings”

The singer also shared some pictures of the injuries he sustained.

He received plenty of support and well wishes in the comment section.

Dancing With The Stars judge Arthur Gourounlian wrote: “Oh Nicky, get well soon you beautiful man”

Presenter Keith Walsh shared his relief to hear Nicky was doing good, saying: “Glad to to hear it Nicky!”

Model Yvonne Connolly commented: “Omg … ouch. Hope you’re ok!”
