Nicky Byrne has treated us all to a major throwback pic, dating back to 1998, from Westlife’s first professional photoshoot.
The photo of the band, who at the time were called Westside, included all the original members, including Nicky himself, Kian Egan, Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, and Brian McFadden.
Taking to Instagram, Nicky wrote: “Look what I found! Our first ever professional photoshoot and flyer.”
The second image shows what was written on the promotional flyer, reading, “from the same stable that brought you Boyzone, Westside are the latest Irish sensations ready to take on the world. Kian, Brian, Mark, Nicky and Shane have been together for under a year and are already tipped for the top, even before they’ve released a record.”
“Ronan Keating loves them so much, he’s decided to co-manage the band, offering the boy invaluable advice to guide them through their career. With the voices of angels and heavenly songs, there is no doubt that Westside will become the band of 1999.”
Fans and followers flocked to comment on the throwback pic, with one commenting ” still got my ones you guys signed for me.” Another saying, “Thank god you changed your name!!” Another commenter wrote, “Oh my god I still have one of these somewhere!!! From a boyzone concert in 1998.”
