Nicky Byrne has opened up about Brian McFadden’s decision to leave Westlife over a decade ago, admitting that while it was tough at the time, all is now forgiven.
Brian left the hugely popular Irish boy band in 2004 to spend time with family and to pursue solo ventures, leaving fans devastated.
Dancing with the Stars Ireland host Nicky Byrne has now revealed that there is no bad blood between the pair, despite the sudden exit.
“Brian left us in the lurch, let’s be honest. He kinda felt, in living in that bubble at that height of what it was, everyone’s under pressure as you said. But yeah you grow up, all is forgiven and things change,” he admitted on his RTE 2FM radio show.
The 37 year also revealed that although the relationships are strong now, the band questioned their future after they became a four piece.
“It’s that moment as well. I remember when Brian left and you kinda you have the thoughts of ‘should I follow him?’ You know. ‘Is someone gonna follow him?’ And nobody did.”
Thankfully it’s all behind them now.
