Nicky Byrne has announced the launch of his new podcast titled Nicky Byrne HQ.

Earlier this week, the Westlife singer had teased that something big was coming after sharing an array of cryptic social media posts.

Taking to Instagram, Nicky said: “I can’t believe I’m actually writing this… but here we are! 🎙️ My brand new podcast, Nicky Byrne HQ, drops next Thursday, and you’ll never guess who my first guest is.

“Check out this clip and get ready for a conversation I never thought would happen again. Let’s go!”

Yes, Nicky’s first guest is old pal and former bandmate Brian McFadden.

The singer left the popular Irish boyband in 2004 to work on solo projects and is now making music and touring with Boyzone star Keith Duffy as Boyzlife.

In the clip shared to social media, Nicky and Brian can be seen having a heated conversation on why Brian left Westlife, twenty years ago.

“When did you and I, not even the Westlife thing but when did you and I lose that bond do you think,” Nicky asks Brian.

While in a later clip, Nicky is seen telling Brian that he “can’t bullsh*t” him, before the two start to get heated about what really went down.

There has been little said over the years, as to why Brian left Westlife back in 2004, with fans being left devasted at the time, however now it looks like long-time followers of the band will finally get the truth.

Fans, of course, flooded the comment section to share their excitement at the news.

“Omg, I’m looking forward to hearing this,” wrote one follower.

While another shared: “No okay but this is really incredible!!! I love this, it’s a real gift Nicky!!”

Nicky Byrne HQ will go live from Thursday 10 October on all major streaming platforms; including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Acast and Google Play.
