Niall Horan has landed his first solo magazine cover and it’s a far cry from his front covers with the One Direction boys.
The Mullingar native has surprised fans by appearing on the front cover of the Today’s Golfer.
The singer who’s always been a keen golfer, donned his finest Nike golfing gear while clutching a golf club and standing next to fellow golfer, Justin Rose on the cover.
Niall explained to HELLO! Magazine how golf helped him escape from the craziness of touring with One Direction.
He said, “”When I was on the road with One Direction it allowed me to escape the hotel for a few hours and relax.
Harry and I used to play a fair bit and travelling so much has allowed me to play some amazing courses all over the world.
It’s a great way to escape from everything for a few hours.”
The Irish star went on to say that he’s become a bit obsessive with the sport.
He said,”I watch an awful lot of golf on the TV. I love all the stats and when they break down the swings.
“I can tell you who’s top in greens in regulation, driving distance and stuff like that.”
We’d love if Niall could teach us thing or two about golf!
