Amid rumours of the band splitting up entirely, One Direction played their last gig for the foreseeable future last night in Sheffield.
A very emotional Niall took to Twitter this morning to thank fans for all their “continuous love and support” over the years.
He said, “Safe to say last night was incredible. Going to miss doing shows for a while. It’s the best part of what we do, that’s why it was emotional.
“Thank you anyone who has come to watch us live over the last few years. It’s incredible to be able to play our music live for you.”
Despite reports which emerged yesterday claiming the demise of the group was down to down to a huge falling out between Harry and Louis, Niall has since said, “We stand strong as a band. We’re brothers…We are [coming back]. I’m just going on a long holiday.”
We wonder just how long this holiday will be…
