Niall Horan has opened up about Liam Payne’s relationship with Cheryl Cole, saying that there’s more than meets the eye with this couple.
Fans were shocked with Liam and Cheryl stepped out together earlier this year given the ten year age difference and the very recent breakdown of Cheryl’s marriage to Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versisni.
Although little is known about how the two stars got together, Niall revealed to Hello! Magazine that “there is a little bit of a story behind it, but I won’t be telling you that.”
Remaining tight-lipped on the personal ins-and-outs of the relationship, the Mullingar native did announce that the couple are very happy together, in front of the camera and behind the scenes.
He also told the mag that he is over the moon for his bandmate and friend.
“She’s a great girl, really fun. He’s a top man and one of my best friends. She seems happy, he’s happy, so I’m happy for them,” Niall said.
