Niall Horan has revealed he harbours no ill will towards his former One Direction bandmate Zayn Malik, as they reunited at the American Music Awards 2016 last night.
Zayn Malik sensationally quit One Direction in March of last year to embark on a solo career, and there has been growing speculation that there’s been bad blood between him and his former bandmates ever since.
Ahead of his performance at the AMAs last night, Niall Horan insisted he was looking forward to seeing his former bandmate, despite not being in touch with him for a while.
“I’m looking forward to seeing him,” he told Entertainment Tonight.
“I haven’t spoken to him in a few months or whatever, and haven’t seen him in a while, so I’m looking forward to seeing him.”
The Mullingar native is no stranger to performing at the AMAs, as One Direction have played at the show previously, and although he acknowledges it’ll be different taking to the stage on his own, he’s looking forward to it.
“It’s obviously different, but it’s different because there’s no one else around, but I’ve been enjoying it so far, the performances that I’ve done and it’s been fun and I just really enjoyed it.” he said.
“This is a show that (One Direction) had success at back in previous years, and had some good performances and had some great nights at, and I’m looking forward to making a few more memories.”
